John Kirby is the founding partner of the firm. He was called to the Bar in 1973. He has practiced law in Owen Sound since 1975.
For almost 35 years John has focused on serving the needs of his clients. John continues to serve his real estate, mortgage and commercial clients, and now is devoting more time to will planning, estate planning and estate administration.
John is past Chair of the General & Marine Hospital, past Chair of the Grey Bruce Regional Health Center Foundation, past chair of the Foundation’s Planned Giving Committee, Past Chair of the Major Gifts Campaign for the MRI, Past Chair of the Grey Bruce Yes Committee for the Charlottetown Accord Referendum and past board member of Summer at the Roxy. John has been an active volunteer with minor hockey. In 2000 John was awarded a Black Belt in Karate and now instructs both children and adults three times per week. John is also a member of a choral groups that sings at local retirement homes.
